Viparita Virabhadrasana , or reverse warrior ( or sometimes called peaceful warrior) is a strong and powerful variation of the traditional Warrior II. This heart opening variation allows us to open up along the front and side body. Here we will discuss how to find the most appropriate place in the pose & why we love this asana!
Pose Overview: Viparita Virabhadrasana
Pronunciation: vip-par-ee-tah veer-ah-bah-DRAHS-anna
Viparita=reverse; vira= hero; bhadra= friend; asana= pose
Purpose: Stretches: the legs, groins, hips, and the sides of the torso and waist
Strengthens: the thighs, shoulders, and arms.
